    Granted, this was obviously some kind of event, but I firmly believe bikers should stick to sidewalks and bike paths/lanes.

    to those who dont know this is critical mass, a bikelovers organization where they clog streets with so many bike pedestrians, it shows unity and all that, but they dont have official police protection in terms of blocked streets, its like a funeral of bikes.
